Canada: CFB Valcartier Prepares for Incoming Syrian Refugees

According to our sources, CFB Valcartier—the biggest CF base in the province of Quebec—is preparing to receive incoming Syrian refugees.

Our sources confirmed that soldiers living in single base housing must prepare themselves to quickly be evicted to welcome Syrian refugees. The evicted soldiers will be moved to the ‘Citadelle de Québec’ where more single housing are available.

Adding to that, soldiers on the base will most likely see their Christmas break revoked to have boots on the ground when the influx of refugees arrives.

Even the Canadian Army reserve received directives stating soldiers might be put on duty.

The incoming Syrian refugees are being moved to Canadian Forces bases to have them in a safe guarded area until a plan is being put in place to spread them around Canada.

The Canadian Forces Media Liaison Office declined to comment.
